Being a post 2002 car it has the upgraded 6-speed ZF transmission. In that same year the engine capacity was increased to 4.2-litres with a boost in power. This car includes those and the many other upgrades that Jaguar made for the later models.

Of just over 90,000 XKs built, just 13,895 were the Convertible XKR.
