1960 Morris Minor 1000 – SOLD

These charming Morrises were very popular – sufficiently to warrant being Australian assembled. The 1000 was the final version, with many upgrades, notably the improved, larger 948cc engine.

This car has been the subject of a lot of work. The previous owners attention was given to rebuilding the engine and gearbox. The present owner bought the car with a view to taking on a project, and he attended to the electrics, brakes, steering, and radiator whilst also doing some rust removal and repainting.

The car is nicely sorted now, though there’s still room for the next owner to improve the car further, mainly in cosmetic terms.

A quantity of spare parts will go with the car.

The owner advises that the motor makes good power and the car runs very well.

These cars offer tremendous value as starter classics and as a simple to maintain car, with excellent availability of parts and advice from around the world.

1986 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit – SOLD

Delivered new in Australia in September 1987, through York Motors in Sydney, the second owner brought this car to Perth. It has been in a collection of cars spanning veteran, through vintage to newer classics with the present owner for over a decade.

Comprehensively equipped as are these luxury cars, this example has optional folding tables to the back of the front seats as well as the late style alloy wheels.

It wears its original “Bordeaux” colour paintwork which presents in excellent condition. Inside, the polished woodwork is beautiful and has been well-kept as are the fittings – testament to the car having always been garaged and cherished.

The car has covered approximately 170,000km. The original books are with the car in their pouch and some servicing documentation.

The owner is realistic about selling the car – an above average, Australian Silver Spirit – hence the very attractive price. Don’t miss this opportunity.

1934 Singer Nine Le Mans – SOLD

The Singer Nine Le Mans used a high-tech engine and light weight to make a quick and successful sports car in the prewar era, which brought great success in motorsport – including a win at the Australian Grand Prix.

This car has been fastidiously restored and remains in exceptional condition as an excellent representation of this rare and desirable model. It is a prize-winning car, with awards collected over several years, was invited to be exhibited at the prestigious Motorclassica show and has featured in two calendars.

On arrival in Perth in 2016, the car was awarded Post Vintage Car of the Year by the Veteran & Classic Car Club.

It is finished to the highest standards in all respects. All mechanical, body, trim electrical and ancillary parts were attended to in the car’s restoration, with parts sourced from around the globe.

The car has twin spare wheels, a chrome luggage rack, full wet weather gear and tonneau as well as a good history file including restoration records and copies of relevant books.

Everything works as it should and the car runs beautifully. There’s nothing which needs doing to this very charming car, just enjoying by the next owner.

1977 Triumph 2500S Manual – SOLD

This beautifully kept car has an excellent history and has won many awards. Originally the QLD Managing Director of Leyland Australia’s car, it was highly specced, with air conditioning, power steering, and a big sunroof. The next owner was his secretary.

It was the final model of the Triumph sedans offered, and received upgrades including a PI fuel injected motor, upgraded rear axle and leather upholstery.

The current owner bought it in 1981 and drove the Triumph back from Queensland. With overdrive, it is a great cruiser. Since then the gearbox has been rebuilt, and new clutch, but has otherwise been exceptionally reliable.

It would be difficult to find a better example.

1968 Jaguar S-Type 3.4 Manual – SOLD

Sold new in Perth, this car has never since been on the market. It’s been passed from the original owner to her daughter 27 years ago.

With the rare fitment of manual overdrive gearbox, the car has recently had an electric power steering system added at a cost of around $5000.

The paintwork isn’t to show car quality, but the interior is excellent. The beautiful polished woodwork is excellent and the original leather trim is fine. It’s a lovely car to drive.

At a lot less cost than a Mk2, the S-Type is a better car to drive with IRS and power steering…

With the car is the original bill of sale, all books, tools, etc.

The owner’s failing eyesight has lead to the reluctant decision to sell.

Registered DL 2265 on club registration.

2011 AMG C63 P31 Performance Package Plus – SOLD

With the C63, a very desirable, but expensive option was the upgraded Performance Plus Package (called P31), which brought a suite of improvements, including forged pistons, connecting rods and lightweight crankshaft from the SLS AMG, together with a new engine management system. Power output was raised to 358kW, torque remained unchanged. There was also a limited slip diff as well as 2-piece front rotors. Wheels went from 18 inch to 19 inch and the package was capped off with red Brembo brake callipers.

Cosmetically the P31 package also came with a carbon fibre lip boot spoiler and a steering wheel in black Nappa leather and Alcantara. Black leather covered the upper section of the dashboard, the upper door trim and the armrest on the centre console. In Australia the P31 improvements added $18,000 to the price of the standard C63.

With a lifetime’s experience in tuning high performance cars (including having run a specialist workshop overseas), the owner has carefully further improved the C63, including an Evolve Technik ECU upgrade, uprated valve lifters, re-profiled camshafts, larger brakes, K&W adjustable coilovers, strut brace, uprated oil cooler and a suite of other improvements – most noticeable being 46 kW extra.

All the original equipment has been retained and will go with the car.

This exceptionally well-sorted car’s mileage is just over 81,000km. It drives especially well, is tight and clearly cherished.

1980 MGB LE Roadster – SOLD

This excellent example of the last of the MGB series has recently benefitted from a full engine rebuild, new clutch, brakes, radiator, battery and much more, costing in excess of $20,000. It has covered just 71,900 miles from new and has full history, books, tools, jack, tonneau, etc.

One of the final batch of 420 Roadsters made, the car was fully optioned when new and has had just four owners. The soft top, upholstery, paintwork, etc are excellent – and mechanically it’s just about all renewed. Unregistered but has just passed a pit inspection.

It presents very nicely and drives especially well, feeling very spritely. Bargain buying for a quick sale.

1981 Porsche 924 – SOLD

Sold new in Perth, this car has remained with its original buyer for 42 years of thoroughly enjoyable ownership. Having moved to a home with less parking, the owner has to, most reluctantly, sell.

The car is well equipped, with the large removable roof panel, power windows and air conditioning.

Initially an everyday car, the Porsche later became used for club events, including track days, until a more powerful Porsche joined the stable.

Finished in Guards Red with cloth upholstery, it’s a very good looking example. There’s lots of service history to back up the car’s excellent maintenance record.

This may be the last one-owner 924 in Australia. It offers excellent buying, especially with its continuous service history and ownership. The books, tools, etc, are with the car.
