1977 Citroen GS Pallas – SOLD

Citroen’s brilliant mid-size model came out in 1970, and featured the most aerodynamic shape on the market, an excellent air-cooled boxer engine, hydropneumatics suspension and all-round disc brakes. There was nothing like it and the GS immediately won World Car of the Year.

Spacious, comfortable and with great handling, the GS was a hit and sold well in Australia. This luxury Pallas version was sold new in Perth by Dependable Motors in Newcastle Street. It remained here for many years until sold to an enthusiast in Melbourne, looking for the best GS he could find. He entered the car in a concours, and it won its class. However, that wasn’t enough – and the car underwent a very comprehensive restoration over the next couple of years. Every aspect of the car was rebuilt, with many new parts imported to ensure the best result.

And the result was a multiple concours winning GS, with an array of awards to its name. The car comes with lots of documentation, history, a quantity of parts and its many trophies. It drives very well and the car’s presentation is very impressive throughout.

For less than the price of a base Corolla, a multi award-winning, rare and special classic Citroen… You’d be hard pressed to find a better example.
