1949 Triumph 2000 Roadster – $43,500 ono

Postwar, Triumph offered a broad range of high quality cars, the most daring design of which was their Roadster. Initially with an 1800cc engine, then later updated to a 2088cc version of the overhead valve motor, such as in this car. This TRA was the first of the long running Triumph TR series of sports models.

The Roadster featured foldable rear dickey seats, the rear section having its own flip up windscreen.

This car has been in Western Australia for many years, mostly in rural areas until purchased eight years ago to join a large collection. It was registered and in good condition, but the owner decided to undertake a full restoration. All mechanicals were rebuilt, the car stripped and repainted, new electrics, upholstery, carpets and more were attended to.

The owner passed away before the car was finished and it has recently been completed. Much expense and effort has gone into the car’s restoration.
