This charming V8 Rover was delivered new in Perth by Faulls in Subiaco. It was the only example delivered in WA finished in Arden Green, a colour which certainly suits the car.

A Wheatbelt farmer was the first owner, however in 1985 the next owner put the car off the road. After many years in storage a rebuild took place, with the Rover finally back on the road in early 2013. The present owner bought the car seven years ago and it’s believed he is the third owner since the car was new.

It presents well, with the Rostlye wheels offset nicely by white sidewall tyres. The cream colour upholstery suits the dark exterior main colour.

Inside, the car presents very nicely. The leather trim, carpets, polished woodwork and fittings all being in excellent condition. Of particular interest is the burl walnut woodwork in place of the original plain wood finish on the dashboard and door cappings.

There is considerable documentation showing servicing and maintenance which has been done during the present owner’s time with the car. Earlier this year the ignition system and power steering received attention. The car has also had a new battery, fuel pump, reconditioned alternator and other minor work.

With power steering and a smooth V8 engine, as well as air conditioning, it’s easy to enjoy driving the Rover. The original handbook, tools and a workshop manual are with the car.
