1984 Porsche 944 Coupe – SOLD

This car was Australian-delivered and ordered to a very high specification – options included the large sunroof, front and rear swaybars, sports seats and limited slip differential – the last being a very rare option. Finished in Guards Red, it’s fitted with the optional ‘Telephone Dial’ alloy wheels.

The ended up in storage for over a decade and was then bought as a Covid-era project by a local enthusiast. His moving away from Perth for work meant the recommissioning was not finished – though he had spent over $40,000 having work done on the car. A vast amount of mechanical and electrical work was completed. The invoices are on file.

The current owner took over the car and completed the work necessary to sort the Porsche.

The owner has been enjoying the car on the road and while there’s still room for improvement – mostly minor and cosmetic items – he advises the car runs well and reliably.

These Porsches maintain their popularity for good reason. Parts availability and club support are strong. This example, with its rare LSD and sports seats might prove suited to club level motorsport. Attractive pricing of this car allows some leeway for a new owner to make further improvements.
