1986 Citroen 2CV6 Dolly – SOLD

The 2CV was a brilliant exercise in engineering. Unburstable mechanicals, lightweight construction, simple for maintenance and economical. But the 2CV was surprisingly comfortable to use.

This 2CV6 has the largest motor – a 602cc unit. The air-cooled twin is known for its reliability and economy. By 1986 front disc brakes were also fitted.

The Dolly version was one of a series of special models – the differences mainly cosmetic.

It arrived in Australia in 1995. The two previous owners each had the car long term, the last one for fourteen years. The mileage showing on the odometer is 93,000 miles.

The current owner has had some work done on the car – detailed in the full description of the car. A small quantity of service items come with the car as well as a service manual and copy of the owner’s handbook.

This is a particularly nice example, with no rust or dents and everything very well-presented. The underneath and engine bay are clean and oil-free. The owner assures it’s rust free.

Colourful seat covers are fitted, but the upholstery underneath requires attention. The foam is worn and the owner has bought a new set of seat rubbers ready for fitting. Upholstery sets are available at low cost from overseas suppliers.

The car is a joy to drive. It starts well and everything operates as it should. It’s on a set of correct Michelin tyres. This Dolly would be one of the better 2CVs in Perth. If sold to a Western Australian buyer, the number plates FIFI 2CV go with the car.
