1967 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 2+2 – SOLD

Every enthusiast should have an E-Type at some point – the car Enzo Ferrari claimed was the most beautiful car ever made.

This manual 4.2 car was one of the 80 percent sent new to the USA and arrived in Perth in 2012 as a project. The owner undertook a major restoration of all aspects of the car. A vast amount of parts were sourced from around the globe for this work.

Notable is the special custom-made Jaguar 5-speed gearbox and ancillaries (which suits beautifully). The engine, electricals, interior, bodywork all received attention. It was converted to right-hand-drive – straightforward with no cutting and welding on an E-Type. Air conditioning was also fitted. The car was finished in 2017.

The proud owner used the E-Type as his everyday car after completing it until he passed away. It picked up some parking marks and the exterior shows several blemishes. Inside, in the boot and engine bay are all very good. There’s even a beautifully made custom-fitted tool box matching the boot trim.

The Jaguar starts well, runs very nicely, sounding great… The gearbox works so much nicer than the original. The car has a nice, tight feel on the road.

Due to the paintwork blemishes and that it’s a non-matching numbers car it is being marketed at a very realistic price, giving a broader group of enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy E-Type ownership.

Documentation and manuals go with the car as do the plates 1967 XKE if bought by a WA buyer.
