1937 Buick Business Coupe Straight-Eight – SOLD

A stylish big coupe powered by a wonderful straight-eight engine, this car was imported over a decade ago to join a large collection with quite a few Buicks among them. It had already been restored and it’s easy to see why the Buick appealed to its Australian buyer.

With glossy cream coloured paintwork and wide white sidewall tyres it’s a very smart looking example. Registered on club license the car saw some use, along with the owner’s many other cars. However, three years ago he unexpectedly passed away. His family has been thinning-out the collection and this magnificent Buick Coupe is now for sale.

While Buicks were assembled in Australia in the 1930s, the very stylish body design of this car was not made here, so few of this stylish model exist in this country.

The car has recently been recommissioned after its rest period, needing a new starter motor, but otherwise just a service and tune-up. It starts instantly and runs smoothly, as you’d expect. In its day, the straight-eight Buick was the fastest mass production car made in the USA.

It offers a rare opportunity. If you’re interested, please request a detailed description and set of photos by email, from paul@classicrally.com.au
