This car was in long term ownership of an enthusiast who passed away a couple of years ago, so is now being sold. Following a period of not being used, the car has been recommissioned and runs very nicely. The engine purrs like a Jaguar’s should.
The car is good, but not perfect and would benefit from attention in several areas. The bodywork and paint are very nice, though some adjustment is necessary to get the doors shutting flush. Some of the chrome on the car would benefit from being redone.
Inside, the upholstery is worn, but not damaged. The carpet would probably be replaced but possible deep cleaning will bring them up. The woodwork is fine as are most of the fittings. There are small details such as the felt door seals need replacing and some parts are a little ill-fitting. The radio and its speaker have been removed, and not replaced. Some detailed attention to the interior would give the car a real lift.
The car has good Pirelli white sidewall tyres and the spare wheel matches – a wire wheel, with white sidewall tyre. The tools and jack are with the car. There’s a small quantity of new parts which will go with the car, as well as the handbook.
An excellent opportunity to buy well, and enjoy driving as upgrades are done.
